One of the interesting facets of a competition such as Sélections Mondiales des Vins Canada is the fact that this wine competition happens within an annual congress in Quebec City where wine producers, wine tasters, wine writers and reporters and the agencies promoting wine can meet to discuss their reciprocal experience and plan the improvements of their sphere of activity. The object of these meetings is to find ways to serve better the consumers from the whole world.
This congress is divided into several phases, of which daily conferences on various subjects connected to the wine or the knowledge of Quebec society.
At the time of this congress, the participants are invited to a tasting of products from near 600 producers of about thirty countries.
The tasters-congressmen come from more than 20 different countries and share their knowledge, their experience and their love of wine. The conferences are given either by international experts, or by local experts and that on a daily basis according to the official program.
